I teach an undergraduate course on New Media Technologies in the school of Journalism and Mass Communication, SJSU. In this course we use web 2.0 technologies, CS3 tools, video and sound editing tools, etc. to create multimedia and interactive contents for communication.
At the end of a semester, I find helping student review the learning outcomes of the course beneficial because it would enhance their efficacy on the course materials. Since the course topic is on technologies and we would do projects using different software and media, I prepared a multimedia animated movie that captured the highlights of the course as a video podcast, that happens to be one of their project outcomes.
I learned that this movie also helps potential students during add/drop or course registration. the movie resides currently in my teaching website: http://www.sjsu.edu/faculty/mfang/, under the topic of Learning Outcomes.
