This learning tool gives step-by-step instructions for finding material in a library and in online databases. Although the program contains some references to University of Wyoming library services and buildings, its content applies to academic research in general. Several pages of illustrated text provide students with information needed to search for books and journals in an online catalog, retrieve these items from library shelves, view full text versions in databases, and request materials through interlibrary loan. The program offers learners two activities, the first on distinguishing between a book and a journal in a citation, and the second on understanding Library of Congress call numbers.
