Description:

The Parthenon Marbles, once a top the Parthenon on Athens' famed Acropolis, were acquired by Lord Elgin and removed to Great Britain in the 18th century.  The Marbles are housed in the British Museum in London.  Ownership of the Parthenon Marbles is the subject of international controversy, which this web site addresses.
