The Elgin Marbles belong to the British Museum.  The Marbles were once atop the Parthenon on the Acropolis in Athens, Greece.  The Marbles were removed by Lord Elgin in the 19th century and eventually given to the British Museum.  This site examines their beauty and historic significance.
