This is an an interactive timeline created for Dr. Heather Keaney's Modern Islamic Movements History course that she teaches at the American University in Cairo.

The timeline is both visual and interactive, depicting major islamic movements from 1900 to 2005.

It is packed with images to help students relate to and remember historic events. There is also a search feature that students and teachers can use to jump to particular dates , events, or people.

 

This timeline was created using the Timeline Creator V 2.9 software developed by the Center for Educational Resources at Johns Hopkins University.
