Noteflight® is an online music writing application that lets you create, view, print and hear music notation with professional quality, right in your web browser. Work on a score from any computer on the Internet, share it with other users, and embed it in your own pages. Noteflight is free for individual use.
I used Noteflight in my classroom as an integrated program to our LMS. This is a simple platform for notation that allows sharing of scores with students as well as the ability to build and work with templates for various exercises.
This is a very useful program for both on campus and online programs.
It is a simple platform and easy to learn and use. Noteflight is not as robust as other programs but meets all basic needs of notation in a Music Theory classroom. The immediate sharing and integration into a LMS is seamless.
