Companion web site for Crosscurrents, a thematic anthology that combines important critical essays with carefully selected primary texts of children's literature. The anthology is divided into eight parts, each of which addresses a central issue in children's literature studies: instruction and entertainment, adult and child points of view, oral and written traditions, realism and fantasy, boys' and girls' books, words and pictures, adaptations and spin-offs, values and censorship. The text is designed for undergraduate and graduate courses in children's literature, and can be used in a variety of ways. Diverse texts from across the English-speaking world and some translated selections.
