Description:
This presentation covers audio recording by maximizing the dynamic range of the recording while avoiding clipping and capturing the as much information as possible. We look at the standard recording controls and the waveform that is displayed when something is recording. This wave is actually a series of dots that each shows the signal level at an instant in time when it is sampled. We also see ways to improve the audio fidelity by increasing the sampling rate or taking larger samples. We learn about Audacity slider to adjust the microphone level. Maintaining the wave in a level and in the middle will result in the best recording possible.
