Biofundamentals is an attempt to design a more effective introductory course in modern biology.
"The course uses an interactive teaching style. You (the student) will need to read and respond to the (free) text and complete the tutorial assignments before class. Using Highlander, it enables you to post comments, questions, answers, and respond to other students from within the text.
It also uses more complex (Socratic) activities to help you master difficult ideas. In class, we will ask you to explain why wrong answers are wrong, rather than to simply remember which answers are right."
