The Current Textbook based courses are creative Commons but the Textbooks are not included and may have to be purchased, rented or borrowed from a library to complete. The Value Add of the Collegiate Independent Study site is the ability to document your progress and get an opinion of completion from CIS. This opinion of completion is not a certificate or diploma. If an accredited institution accepts the opinion of Collegiate Independent Study they may grant credit tower a college degree but Collegiate Independent Study only provides an opinion provided by a completion specialist who specializes in determining completion of the assignment and is not a professor or educator qualified in any particular subject.
