The purpose of this open training project on ODeL is-

•provide information about key issues in ODeL

•prepare more educators to play a more fulfilling role in the field of ODeL

•empower open, distance and elearning educators by defining and discussing new ideas related to the field

•capacitate educators in managing systems, designing and developing courses, or supporting learners at a distance, whether open or through elearning

•expose educators to sound methods of evaluating the effectiveness of their practice in ODeL

•equip practitioners with skills of handling challenges faced in ODeL in a proactive rather than a reactive manner.
