Probability of forward collision between two vehicles as a function of the inter-vehicle distance (headway) after emergency breaking

Fig. shows the probability of forward collision between two vehicles as a function of the distance between both vehicles (headway) after emergency breaking for four conditions of road: ice road, mud road, wet asphalted road and dry asphalted road. The user selects the initial vehicle velocity, the mean reaction time and the standard deviation of the reaction time, assuming that the reaction time is lognormal distributed.
