Description:

This lab vividly illustrates the difference between distance/displacement and velocity/speed for beginning physics students.  We use very economical and rudimentary equipment available to  schools on a budget.  The distance can be paced out for a rough approximation if no tiles are available.  The travel time can be measured with a stop watch or a smart phone.

Keywords:
