This is a stand alone lesson to introduce students to fractions. Students will learn about fractions and then they will practice the concepts taught.

many think that fractions are difficult, but your stair makes them look easy. i like the layout of your slides. it is user friendly with the complimentary colors, the stars and few words on each slide-very inviting for a first grader. i think that you could improve your stair by adding some sounds and animation. slides 6, 9, 13, 16, 19 and 22 have broken links that need to be connected.

1. Simple language - ease of use
2. Flowed nicely from one slide to the next
3. It included numbers corresponding to pictures
You may want to consider a variety of encouragement slides so students don't become bored.
