The Learning Analytics Challenge: Culture of Data or Culture of Evidence?

Learning Analytics is seen as a key tool to enable us to do so.
Learning Analytics is describedas the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of data about learners and their contexts, for purposes of understanding and optimizing learning and the environments in which it occurs.
Learning Analytics is real. It is in many ways a genuine breakthrough. But what are the pitfalls? What is the way forward?
