As a digital storyteller, Erica Hargreave talks about the importance of engaging community in online learning. At this event, the 2018 Technology Enhanced Classroom (TEC) Expo at UBC, she was focused on community engagement in online learning communities, but building and engaging community is similarly important in her storytelling. Many of the same principles for fostering engagement between online education and story communities is quite similar and the experience for both learning communities and story communities becomes that much richer with connection and interactions with one another.
