This PowerPoint tutorial is easy to use and could be incorporated into many different types of instruction sessions. The presentation helps students learn how to identify the important concepts and keywords in academic articles. After finishing this presentation student should be able to distinguish between primary and secondary sources, identify the thesis statement of an article and how use bibliographies and abstracts in identifying important concepts in the article. After finishing this tutorial student will be able identify and summarize the important topics of an academic article to discuss with classmates and instructors. The quizzes and challenging and help students learn important concepts. Students may need to work through some of the fill in the blank question multiple times before moving on to the next slide however it is possible to view the slides without taking the quizzes. The graphics are clear and attractive and help make the presentation interesting. I would highly recommend for classes where you want students to improve their comprehension and reading of academic articles
