The Triangle Factory Fire

This site contains information about the March 25, 1911 fire in the New York City factory of the Triangle Shirtwaist Company and the resulting investigations and reforms. The fire killed 146 immigrant workers, most of whom were women. The materials include original documents, oral histories, and photographs held by Cornell University Library, a bibliography, lists of victims and witnesses, audio interviews with three fire survivors, and tips for student projects.

Interesting information. However, there was heavy emphasis on the social problems of the era, but minimal information on the actual fire, and the steps taken to improve fire safety in multi-story buildings after the fire occurred.
