This is a great resource for reinforcing the basics of operant conditioning.  It provides a brief explanation of the concepts followed by a variety of examples which are presented clearly and accurately.  It also includes quizzes which must receive a score of 8/10 to move onto the next section as well as a completion certificate that students could turn in as an assignment.

Technical Remarks:

The main issue with this site is that it sometimes freezes during the quizzes.

I thoroughly enjoyed using this operant conditioning learning object. It is composed of a tutorial followed by a quiz on reinforcement/ punishment. After obtaining a passing grade (8/10) on the quiz, a second tutorial is presented with a quiz to follow on the positive/ negative complication to the reinforcement/ punishment concepts. A completion screen is presented when a passing grade (8/10) is obtained from the second quiz.

Technical Remarks:

The LO is very simple, nothing flashy or animated, but that also makes it easy to use. Overall it is informative and I liked the simplicity of the screens as well as the many great examples that college students readily relate to. On the other hand, I also think that the quiz results screen should have presented what items were marked incorrect so that students would know what they got wrong. Also the two different quizzes had very similar questions (but just with different multiple choice options) which get repetitive. However this can be a good thing too because it lets students focus on the same questions at a higher level in the second quiz. Overall I recommend this LO on operant conditioning.
