This animation examines how the concentration levels of lactose determine when the expression of the lac operon lactose-metabolizing genes is turned on or off. This animation includes a step-through video with a transcript of the animation and a narrated version of the animation. There is also a concluding tab and a quiz section that asks three questions relating to the lac operon animation.
