I have started on a self study course based on the recommended reading selections, and plan to do them in conjunction with Campbells own works which covered many of the same subjects including his Hero With a Thousand Faces, and 4 volume Masks of the Gods, which covers Primitive, Eastern, Occidental, and Creative (our modern artists and poets) Mythology. I'm very excited. Currently reading Ovid's Metamorphoses and plan to move on to Homer's Odyssey and the Virgil's Aeneid. Concurrently, I am reading Frazer's The New Golden Bough, and Campbell's Hero With a Thousand Faces. Very excited about it. Is there anyone else out there doing something similar?
