ARKIVE - IMAGES OF LIFE ON EARTH

ARKIVE - IMAGES OF LIFE ON EARTH

ARKive gathers together, into a centralized digital library films, photographs and audio recordings of the world’s species, creating a record of the world’s biodiversity. The Web site features photographs of endangered and protected species worldwide, and includes information on habitat, status, descriptions, threats and biology. ARKive is a not-for-profit initiative of Wildscreen (www.wildscreen.org.uk), a UK-based charity, whose mission is ‘to use the power of wildlife images to inspire the people of the world to value and conserve our natural environment and its biodiversity’. ARKIVE Education is a separate education zone designed for teachers and other educators, offering worksheets, project ideas, lesson plans and support materials.
