Monterey Bay Aquarium: Ocean Environments

Logo for Monterey Bay Aquarium: Ocean Environments
This website is an interactive virtual tour through the Monterey Bay Aquarium. A tour through the aquarium exhibits illustrates the geographic distribution of marine organisms, especially as that distribution changes as a function of ocean depth. This website is very engaging, complete with audio, video clips, and live web cams on several exhibits. The website is useful in covering ocean related earth science standards, and could also be useful in illustrating marine ecosystems.

I thought this was a great website. Even though I live no where near Monterey Bay I can still use the website as an instructional tool for my students. Some of the information I felt could have been used for middle school as well not just high school. I liked the graphics and the information they had which was very informative.
