Description:
This website includes information and activities on geologic time. The animations on this website are good, but best-suited for middle-school students. Also available is a "Resource Room" with related links and activities. One activity on this site gives students some perspective on the scope of one million. For example, students are asked to research this by printing one page of asterisks then determine how many pages it would take to print one million. Another activity on this same page has students make a geologic time scale relative to a football field. These activities are best suited for junior high students, but could be used with high school as well.
