This site offers approximately 150 video programs (6 8 minutes each) on a wide variety of public health and health policy topics including obesity, mental illness, aging, infectious diseases, and environmental health, just to name a few. Each video is accompanied by corresponding, downloadable PowerPoint slides, an annotated transcript, and in-depth discussion questions that can be used to facilitate classroom discussions and develop research assignments. (The videos can also be downloaded to portable devices such as iPods.) A new program launches each week, offering straight-forward commentary on timely health and policy-related issues that will provoke thought from students and encourage them to consider tangible solutions to the challenges presented.
