Discover Genomics: Science Education Program
The J. Craig Venter Institute (JCVI) Science Education Program is an excellent example of Mobile Learning Science Education (MLSE) in the United States. Both JCVI and Woods Hole's DNA Learning Center (www.dnalc.org) are providing teachers with academic workshops and professional development internship programs. These Genomic Centers provide teachers with excellent science classroom modules that encourage K-12 students to pursue STEM careers. In addition, JCVI's Genome Solver (Georgetown University) (www.genomesolver.org) is designed for the International Genome Research Community to facilitate public and private group discussions about analyzing the human microbiome.
