Description:
New teachers should start teaching with exemplary instructional materials. Each fall, three new curriculum supplements will be published that bring modern medical research findings from the National Institutes of Health into classrooms across the country.

Three units were released in 1999 for use in high school science classrooms (FREE!!!). These units comply with the National Science Education Standards and contain up-to-date scientific data. Each is well organized for integration into a broader curriculum and includes:

Five Inquiry-based activities that may be used in sequence or individually; A key for using the supplement in conjunction with major textbooks; Extensive background material for teachers, a list of additional resources, references and copy masters; An interactive CD-ROM with engaging resources such as video scenarios, simulations, animations, and databases.
