The Newton's Egg Engineering Design Challenge utilizes the classic concepts of engineering design, critical interpretation of momentum, and error percentage analysis of measurements in the potential and kinetic energy calculations. The students will also utilize the engineering design resources of the 123D-Design (Autodesk) iPad app to conceptualize design as an engineer would in the design stages of the project. Using information obtained from the Lunar Reconnaisance Orbiter, the students will also interpret graphical information in planning a suitable habitat station.
