Have used Web-support in teaching a variety of biology courses. Have taught Biology as an on-line course. Have taught on-line workshops for faculty on campus as well as faculty at other campuses. Currently earning certification in teaching on-line from UCLA. Five years experience in faculty development in particular in the area of integration of technology into teaching and learning. Have presented numerous conference workshops on faculty development and use of technology in enhancing teaching and learning. Have taught use of Web to support teaching and learning to faculty at local public elementary, junior, and high school levels.
Have used Web-support in teaching a variety of biology courses. Have taught Biology as an on-line course. Have developed on-line modules for teaching biology including on-line phylogenetic tree creator, interactive natural selection simulation, and ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny embryo puzzle. Area of expertise is in botany, plant physiology and molecular biology.
