Online version of Dr. Dale Snead's Hand Injuries in Athletics Presentation given at National Athletic Trainers' Association Annual Symposium, 2000. Although the audience was athletic trainers, other professionals such as physicians and nurses could also benefit from reviewing the learning resource. The presentation covers three types of injuries: 1) Bony injuries; 2) Joint injuries; and 3) Closed tendon/soft tissue injuries. The presentation emphasizes early and accurate diagnosis, corrective treatment, and effective rehabilition. Key words: Wound and injuries; Hand injuries; Finger injuries.
