Cell-ebration can be used to show how cells work. This site goes over the functions of the cell organelles focusing on the structure and function of the cell membrane. Students will learn how the organelles interact with each other to keep the cell alive.

This is a collection of small simulations helping to visualize evolution. This site has simulations on statistics, selection, mutation, gene flow, genetics, reproduction, genetic drift, adaptation, speciation, extinction, phylogenetics and sexual selection.

DNA from the Beginning

This is an animated informational simulation on DNA, genes and heredity. Students will be able to understand concepts through animation, images, and videos. The site is broken into molecular genetics, classic genetics, and organizational features of genetics.

Online Microbiology Tutorials

This site contains eight tutorials on topics such as polio, Mad Cow Disease, antibiotics, the eradication of smallpox, yellow fever, complement, virus replication, and a history of viruses. This can be used for a homework assignment given to the kids. Or even to enhance classroom instruction on these topics.

Human Blood

Three tutorials about human blood. The tutorials cover the different types of blood cells, ABO blood types and Rh blood types. Each tutorial includes nice illustrative photos and figures, a multiple choice quiz that gives prompt feedback on correct or incorrect answers, and a glossary. There are also sound files embedded into the paragraphs to help with word pronunciation.
