This website can be used for teachers, teaching assistants and other staff who have access to the programme and pupils. For schools to use on interactive whiteboards or computers.

The 2Simple resource comes with many programmes which can aid children’s learning in many areas of the curriculum.

Talking stories are a set of 5 stories which are narrated from a child’s perspective. The voice over reads out the story and presents opportunities for children to discuss what is happening and be involved throughout.

Key points about the website:

  • The resource is primarily to enhance children’s reading, listening and communication skills.
  • It can be used for many areas of the curriculum; this shows that the resource can be used for a diversity of learning outcomes.
  • The resource is interactive and engaging for children, especially those with SEN as it can get them to be involved.
  • A range of questions can be asked throughout the stories which can be based on the learning intention or just for the pleasure of reading.
  • The resource can be used for a range of children’s abilities and needs as the questions asked can be differentiated accordingly.
  • A negative to this resource is that it is expensive for schools to buy for all computers although the software could be put on a communal area such as the school’s library which can be used by all the pupils.
