DNA from the beginning describes 75 experiments on multiple topics of genetics what gives students a chance to learn how the subject developed throughout the history. As a science teacher, I can use this website application to teach different topics in biology and living environment classes. Thus, three aspects of genetics are presented: classical genetics (includes basic concepts of the genes), molecules of genetics (genes as the base of living organisms, chromosomes) and genetic organization and control (inheritance of gene variations that leads to evolution, Mendelian laws and their application). As those aspects cover all general topics that are necessary while teaching to students the content of unit on origin of life (living environment) including classification of living and non- living things, or teaching the topics on human body and gene inheritance (biology), the website can be very necessary to explain all previously mentioned topics. In addition, "DNA from the beginning" can be used when assigning to students individual or group research projects (they can explore their imagination and use all the experiments to explain the topic).
VR Molecules Pro- interactive simulation of molecule vibration and rotation modes: website application that allows to build multiple chemical molecules that contain any chemical element from the periodic table. Thus, by using such application, science teachers (like myself) can create presentations (up to 10 pages), add text and audio explanations to support the lesson content and observe created molecules from multiple viewpoints.From my personal prospective of view VR Molecules Pro is very useful to enhance science teaching and helpful for the subject of living environment to deliver the material on levels of organization of living things (molecules, cells, tissues, organs, organisms etc.) As the first level represents molecules, it is a good way to explain the concept by giving some visual support, because for students it is hard to imagine such a small thing like molecule. Thus, such application is a great tool to clarify topics on organizational levels and also to explain how the main elements of all living like C, H, O, N, P store energy (in chemical bonds) and how many bonds do they form.
Eskeletons represents a web application that allows students to learn the skeletal anatomy by viewing and comparing bones of the different species like a human, chimpanzee, baboon and many others. As a science teacher, I can use such a website to teach the topic on human skeleton (biology lesson). Thus, besides the skeletal model that I can also bring to the class, students get a chance by using a website to look at the skeletons of multiple animals and observe the differences between the bones that construct the body of a human and an animal. In addition, such application can be used for students to create their research projects and presentations. Therefore, besides comparison, users can also select a bone from the 4 bone types and learn it in a detail by checking the image from six viewing angle points. Eskeletons is a great tool for observations!!!
Evolution is a web application that can be useful in my case as a science teacher to teach the lessons of biology (Darwin's theory, the principles of life diversity on Earth, extinction of organisms, sexual mode of reproduction and characteristics of a human being). The website contains all explanatory tools for students to better understand Darwin's theory and how evolution enforces the diversity among living organisms, and the ways in which those organisms adopt to the environment that undergoes changes throughout a history. Thus, a website application is a great support for the lesson because besides the explanatory material it also contains interesting videos and exercises that can be used by the teacher during motivational activities and student's assessment time.
The Biology Project: Cell Biology is a web application that I can use to teach multiple biology lessons: cell as a basic unit of life, cell organization, phases of the cell cycle, the processes of meiosis and mitosis, differences of the cell structure in Prokaryotes, Eucaryotes, and Viruses. Thus, the application contains many topics of the cell biology together with the multiple contents in order to explain and support the material step by step. At the end of each topic there is a designed test that also can be used to check how well the students understand the material in class.
