ICT training project

Description:

Due to the highest rate of unemployment, this project aims to contribute to the efforts of Senegalse Government in unemployment reduction through the establishement of a small centre that will provide ICT training opportunities to to the unemployed youth aged between 19 and 30 years old in grand yoof district.

Course:

The courses will be ensured as full-time courses with 6 hours a day and 6 days per week.THe courses are both software and by videos and have 2 key components:

-the training component focusing on computer-based training.

-the training component focusing on entrepreneurial training.

In the first year, the training will focus on word,excel,powerpoint,access and more.

In the second year, the training will focus on entrepreneurial training such as:

-how tocreate an enterprise!

*how to undertake an online business!

-web maintenance

-blog creation

-commercial law

-trade

-essential on jobs

The training will be followed by an internship for months in various enterprises of Dakar.

Unemployed undergraduates,graduates and youth who lack higher education are concerned by training

  The training duration is two years from 1st july 2014 to 30 june 2016.

Prerequisites:

It is needed:

-online teachers or tutors

-courses materials

-to rent classrom and pay 30 computers,didactic materials,photocopier and scanner

and more....

Learning Outcomes:

After training, the skilled students will gain employment and build their families.They will integrate into the community as productive members.They will becomsuccessful learners,confident and creative individuals.They will be active and informed citizens and could contribute to the development of country as young leaders.

Pedagogy Approach:

The major driver of changing pedagogic has been an increased understating of skills and knowledge of young peoples for employment. Our pedagogic methodology is the virtual training that facilitates learning programmes through the use of new technology.

Assessment Methodology:

We adopt the assessment methodology recommended by the vocational trainig department of Minister of National Education.It is recommended in any ttainig institutions to organize a test evevery month,an exam every half-year and discussions

To rent a space as classroom that will be equiped by 30 computers,tablesanddesks, others equipments are necessary as photocopier,scanner,didactic materials.

A supervisor or coordinator will be assigned to facilitate the day to day running administration

-A one-site teacher  will be as an assistant to watch, monito and facilitate the courses understading

-A security agent is needed
