Explain the processes involved in the development of a fire in a compartment. 3. Explain each of the following in terms of a compartment fire: fire-induced flows, neutral plane, and ventilation factor. 4. Compute the compartment smoke temperature change for a room 4m x 4m x 3m high with a vent 1m x 2m high, constructed of very thick gypsum plaster. The fire constant is at 500 kW. What is the temperature rise of the smoke at 100s?
