Instructions: Once on the site "Exploring Constitutional Law," scroll down to the bottom of the page and Click "Famous Trials." Click "The Nuremberg Trials 1945-1949." Read the following sections: Chronology, Meet the Major War Criminals Trial Defendants, Charter, Indictments and Sentences, The Major War Criminals Trial: Transcript Excerpts, The Major War Criminals Trial: Assorted Images; and Courtroom Diagram with Images. Wrte a 5-7 page paper answering the following questions; 1. Why did the Allies in World War II agree to create a charter to try the leaders of the leaders of Nazi Germany? 2. Summarize the substance of the Charter. 3. Who were the major war Criminals and Trial Defendants? 4. Summarize the testimony of the following people: General Otto Ohlendorf, marie Claude Vaillant-Couturier, Abram Suzover, Hermann Goering, Roudolf Hoess, Hans Frank, and Albert Speer. 5. What were the verdicts and sentences for the figures on trial? 6. Why are the Nuremberg Trials an international precedent?
