Lesson Title: Earth's Climate
Objectives: 1. Students will read Internet print media.
2. Students will read aloud with fluency.
3. Students will navigate a NASA website.
CDE Science: Earth Science 3b: Students know that the weather changes from day
to day but that trends in temperature or of rain (or snow) tend to be
predictable during a season. 3c: Students know the sun warms the land, air, and
CDE Language Arts: Reading: Concepts About Print: 1.1: Match oral words to
printed words. 1.2: Identify the title and author of a reading selection. 1.3:
Identify letters, words, and sentences. 1.16: Read aloud with fluency in a
manner that sounds like natural speech.
NETS: #1: Use input devices (e.g., mouse, keyboard, remote control) and output
devices (e.g., monitor, printer) to successfully operate computers, VCRs,
audiotapes, and other technologies. #2: Use a variety of media and technology
resources for directed and independent learning activities. #3: Communicate
about technology using developmentally appropriate and accurate terminology. #5:
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with peers, family members, and others
when using technology in the classroom.
