Plagiarism--A Student's Guide to Avoiding It

Rating: 4 stars
Used in Course: Not used in course
Submitted by: Marcia Neudigate (Faculty), Nov 15, 2009
Comment: This material serves well as a mini-lesson on plagiarism. As indicated, students often do not understand the concept, especially with the use of internet where all material is consided "fair game" when writing.

Technical Remarks:

I would prefer to see this information constructed on a Powerpoint so that students focus on one example at a time. In addition, the instructor could incorporate a learning activity that challenges students to validate their own resources.
