I believe that an understanding of different cultures is an essential quality of the xxi century student and professional. We live in an increasing globalized world; these types of activities are definitely relevant in today’s education. I think you could address more Nets-s as instructional objectives with this lesson, especially in research and information fluency, and communication and collaboration. Since you’re using an LMS you can add many UDL principles to your lesson plan taking advantage of the tools within the platform. I like that you considered opening a discussion forum in the LMS as an instructional strategy where they can summarize and compare their ideas.
