Task Significance

Rating: 4 stars
Used in Course: Not used in course
Submitted by: Sharyn Nantuna (Student), Mar 11, 2011

Adam Grant’s research on “Task Significance” reveals that people perform better when they understand the relevancy of their job. People want to feel that they are making a difference in the lives of others.  That said, managers can motivate employees by introducing them to the people they help.  Although important, task significance alone can’t improve job performance.  Other factors have an impact such as salary, work conditions and fair treatment.

Technical Remarks:

- Easy to use the material

- Used speakers to increase volume
