The safety video on this site is somewhat hilarious. Many of these video tutorials would be really helpful for students to watch before a laboratory exercise so they are already comfortable with setting up different apperati. Though in many of the videos the individuals performing the tasks are not appropriately outfitted with personal protective equiptment (many not wearing gloves, etc.), the set-ups themselves are good. There are well written explanations on things like how to do an extraction and how to use a separatory funnel. Although the site was specifically created for students at San Jose State University, the quizes and practice exams would be helpful for any beginning organic student. There is also a humerous bloopers section which features some common lab mistakes (one of which involves a simple distilation set up, only the distilation tube has been packed with steel mesh)
