wow, melissa!  this lesson is outstanding!  the objective definitely fills "the need" category.  i like the active learning that is occuring with groups.  the lab simulation with flour is an excellent kinesthetic, visual experience.  using the internet to research diseases and illnesses contracted through contact was the perfect technology component.  students are able to let their creativity shine when they problem solve ways to stay healthy. (hopefully they come up with ways to stay away from germs on the computer keyboard)  the only thing that i was unsure of was how you were going to have students present their list of illnesses and solutions.  is it going to be a technology presentation, a poster, a list that students read off.  i plan to use this lesson in the future.  thanks, melissa!
