That is a great resource. Completely engaging, and covers specific areas of the State of Michigan Standards in Mathematics thoroughly. It is very well thought out and is put together, both from an instructional standpoint as well as from a design standpoint. The resources use many different media assets to keep all types of learners engaged. The resource clearly lays out the learning objective, and provides the student with a clear vision of the task at hand. The resource also leverages quizzes that help introduce concepts before starting the lesson. This exercise is a great process so that a student can gauge their knowledge, and expose any misunderstandings.
There are a few things that I believe need to be addressed however before I could give a full five stars. The videos that are embedded within the resource did not play for me. I know as a technology professional, these technologies can sometimes be hard to implement with. That should be easy enough to address. Also, there was a slide for “Finding Odds” which caused confusion. The slide asked the user to find the odds that spinning a spinner would land on a number 6 or greater. The image of the spinner only has 6 numbers, however your example math had 8 numbers, a minor oversight. Another general modification I would consider is providing instructions to the student that you expect them to pick a number during the pre-assessment. There was nothing to lead me to that conclusion, and it wasn’t completely intuitive.
Overall, this is an excellent resource that is easy to implement and effective.
