I spent about 15 minutes reviewing this StaIR. The first most obvious thing to me is how age appropriate it is. It also will connect to most students since almost everyone has a pet or knows someone with a pet. Children of this age love little puppies. The evaluation connects to the goals of this lesson and the instructions are clear and in logical order.

I feel that this would be very hard for a student to complete on their own. The link provided gives explanation to how to pick the perfect dog according to one person. However, this does not answer many of the questions involved in the task. At this age-level I would include links to the humane society and/or videos for the students. It would be very easy for a student at this age to come across content that could be disturbing about a humane society on the internet if not guided. Also, if this is stand-alone I would suggest including links on how to create a powerpoint that are age appropriate.
