Immune Attack

Rating: 2 stars
Used in Course: Not used in course
Submitted by: Ryan Williamson (Teacher (K-12)), Nov 25, 2013

Difficult to get installed on my home computer (had some odd installation errors) and little technical support, though I got it eventually. Would likely make school IT's heads explode.

Got into it, was really promising, actually pretty enjoyable, very informative (a little more detail than I'd like for use in high school, but good nonetheless). Then it ended. After introducing macrophages and neutrophils. No talk of any of the actually difficult parts of the immune system (antibodies, B cells, CD4/CD8 T cells, antigen presentation, any part of the adaptive immune response). Just the part that occupies a day or two of even a graduate level immunology course.

Very disappointing, though the 2nd version will hopefully have the same good game design with education, but on the part I need it for.
