I spent about a 30 minute period viewing the images provided on the site. I was quite impressed that the images go beyond the regular cliche images of France. Usually one only views pictures of the Eiffel Tower or the Arc. This went further in depth showing images of every day life activities as well as villages and provinces of France while keeping the images interesting enough that a child would enjoy viewing them. I could definitely see the use of this site in an elementary or middle school class. It would help the students further understand the French culture.
This site is extremely easy to use. The series of four pictures at a time keeps things easy to view. Enlarging a picture simply entails clicking on it; the picture then enlarges in a separate window. The categories are self-explanatory and easily mapped out in a tool bar to the left of the screen.
