Autism Speaks has grown into the world's leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to promoting solutions for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. They do this through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.

Strengths:: The material is current, research-based, and updated. The site is easy to navigate. The site presents educationally sound concepts and models to help Autism patients and their caregivers.
Concerns:: None.

Strengths:: It is an effective resource about autism. It offers research and articles on many topics related to autism.
Concerns:: None.

Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty

Strengths:: The website is well structured. The layout is pleasing and clear. Buttons work and are easy to locate. Information is organized into logical units with clear headings. There is contact information which connects the user to the Autism Response Team, where the conversation can be in either English or Spanish.
Concerns:: Would be challenging for any user who has english language or reading comprehension issues.

Other Issues and Comments:: As a teaching resource for college level learners it is excellent. However the authors do not seem to be aware that the materials for parents are at a very high reading level.
