The New Coke Cast Study Part 1 is a role playing activity placing students in the roles of actual participants from the 1985 decision to introduce "New Coke". Students review information and facts that the actual decision-makers had in 1985 and role-play the decision process. The CEO from each team presents the team's strategy and final decision to the groups. Group decisions may vary from the actual decisions made in 1985.
This would be a great exercise for an upper-level Marketing class.
