The Tic Tac Toe ABGs was developed by QSEN to guide nusing students in interpreting and minimizing risks associated with ABGs. As stated by Nancy Jaskowak Cresse the learning objectives are: • Reviewing how respiratory physiology impacts ABG measurement • Identifying three variables that may affect readings • Enabling rapid ABG interpretation to minimize risk of harm to patients

  • The lesson plan and educational information provided with the video and other resources are outstanding!
  • Well designed lesson and educational materials!
  • Very useful - ABG interpretation is a difficult concept for most students and seasoned nurses as well.  This presentation of the tic tac toe method is excellent. The supplemental material is very helpful.

 

Concerns:

 

  • The only concern is having to find the youtube video presentation - maybe put it at the top of the QSEN page or make it more obvious to user.
