Overview: This site provides information for working with students with challenging
behavior. School personnel, parents, and other professionals are provided with
numerous opportunities to access information, and receive consultation and
technical assistance concerning students with challenging behavior.
Type of Material: Collection.

Recommended Uses: This material can be used as an excellent resource and reference for schools and
communities serving students with challenging behaviors, especially students
with emotional and behavioral disorders. The discussion board and technical
assistance and on-going consultation are good resources for the aforementioned
targeted populations as many of the students with challenging behaviors are
unique and require tailored interventions. This material is also an excellent
resource for the college instructor teaching a behavior management class.
Credential candidates can also benefit from this site.

interested individuals to gain access to pertinent information about students
with challenging behavior. Furthermore, the site provides forums, such as
technical assistance and discussion boards, that provide ongoing consultation.

pre-service teachers, psychologists, social workers, school administrators, and
other school and community professionals.

Potential Effectiveness as a Teaching Tool

Rating: 4.5 stars
Strengths: This site provides a comprehensive link to the law pertaining to students with
challenging behavior. It also provides the latest research on behavior
interventions. There are many links to professional organizations. The
intervention page is useful to pre- and in-service K-12 teachers. The
discussion board and technical assistance forum could provide both pre- and
in-service teachers with opportunities to discuss issues pertaining to the field
of education and specifically, challenging behavior.

Concerns: It is recommended that this site be somehow identified as appropriate for use in
all states, not just Kentucky.

Ease of Use for Both Students and Faculty

Rating: 4.7 stars
Strengths: The site is attractive with a balance of graphics and text. It is well
organized and one can easily navigate from page to page. There are
sub-categories within each major category, and the use of different color text
makes the sub-categories stand out from the main category. This site is of high
quality and presents a comprehensive organization of material pertaining to
students with challenging behavior.
